Jimmy Buffett was “deathly depressed” living in a Howard Johnson’s under Mount Tamalpais in Marin County while playing in San Anselmo, just north of San Francisco. But his life changed forever when this song, which he wrote about being away from his now wife while on tour, became his first hit in 1974. A cover of “Come Monday”.
