Michael Howitt

The first time I heard Gordon Lightfoot was my dad’s 8-track of his 1968 “Did She Mention My Name” album. Not sure if it was the driving rhythm of Gord’s 12-string guitar, the orchestration coming in as the song progressed, or the adventure in the lyrics of driving cross-country to the Rockies, but this song was my favourite. A cover of “Mountains and Marian”.
