Bryan Charendoff

This song touches on Neil Young’s earliest childhood memories. The northern Ontario town of Omemee was where his parents moved with him when he was just four years old. When he was six, he came down with polio so the family moved to Florida hoping the warmer weather would speed his recovery. Young describes Omemee as a “sleepy little place…Life was real basic and simple…walk to school, walk back. Everybody knew who you were”. Here is “Helpless”.
