I’ve done two Joni Mitchell songs in a row, and this one is by another great female Canadian artist which was inspired by Joni. k.d. lang and her songwriting partner, Ben Mink, rented a small place in Vancouver to write. She’s been listening to Joni’s “Black Crow” and said to Ben “wouldn’t it be great if we could do a song with similar, flowing open chords?” This song won her the Grammy Award for Best Female Pop Vocal Performance in 1993. A cover of “Constant Craving”.
