This Bob Dylan song from 1962 has meant so many things to so many people. It was adopted as an anthem of the civil rights movement. Black artists like Sam Cooke and Mavis Staples covered it, the latter saying she was so impressed how a young white man could write something that captured the frustrations and aspirations of black peoples so powerfully. As with a lit of Dylan songs, it became a hit as a cover by Peter, Paul and Mary, but it began Dylan’s legacy as one of the greatest songwriters of all time. This is a cover of “Blowin’ in the Wind”.
