Here’s one for all the fishin’ musicians, “The Fishin’ Blues.” Written in 1911 and first recorded in 1928, the first version I ever heard was by the great bluesman Taj Mahal.

Nope! Can’t accept that excuse. I know a 300 lb mandolin player with hands the size of baseball gloves. He’s good too! There are a lot of two finger chords on uke.

I have a couple of ukuleles, but that one is the best by far – all solid woods. Cedar top, rosewood back and sides, and African padauk binding.
