The chorus and melody for this song come from a demo recorded by Bob Dylan in 1973. Ketch Secor of “Old Crow Medicine Show” heard the unfinished song in a bootleg recording. He added the verses and the group released the song in 2004 with himself and Dylan as co-writers. Darius Rucker, former lead singer of “Hootie and the Blowfish” had a big hit with it in 2013 when he released a country version. This is a cover of “Wagon Wheel”.

Used to hear that song live for years before Darius Rucker did it. All the young folkies played it at campfires at Summerfolk in Owen Sound. Nice!
