Gregory Swain did “You’re Gonna Make Me Lonesome When You Go,” like most of the songs on “Blood on the Tracks” a song about his breakup with his wife Sara. “If Not For You” was written for Sara at a better time about five years earlier, but you may know the George Harrison or even Olivia Newton John version. George Harrison reportedly said he preferred ukulele to guitar – I read that he always travelled with two ukuleles, so he would be “ready to have a strum with a friend.”

Ukeleles ate such expressive instruments
Well done
Great rendition John! Always enjoy your commentary too!
A really cheerful version of a classic.
Great stuff.
That song would make a great pair with “You Ain’t Goin’ Nowhere”.
👏👏👏
Well sung and well played, John. Yes, George Harrison had ukuleles lying around his house too, always at the ready. 🙂
I read that he used to buy them in batches, not just one at a time, and that he gave away hundreds of them.
Nicely done John!!!
Well done John
